The Department of Community and Special Care Dentistry deals with the community dental health problems and concentrates its efforts in the prevention of dental diseases.
We diagnose high risk patients for dental diseases and take preventive actions and interventions to stop dental disease before it even starts.The department pays special attention for the prevention of dental diseases in Pediatric and Geriatric patients.

- Instructions on proper cleaning of teeth and gums
- Treatment of hot & cold sensation in teeth
- Dietary counseling for better oral health
- Application of sealants(coating) for early prevention of tooth decay
- Whitening and polishing of teeth
- Filling and root treatment of decayed baby teeth
- Dental diagnosis and treatment of handicapped patients
