Dr. Tanzeem Haider Raza, consultant physician acute Medicine Royal Bournemouth & Christchurch Hospital NHS Foundation Trust United Kingdom who also holds the prestigious post of chief examiner for Membership of Royal College of Physicians United Kingdom examination delivered a guest lecture at FMH on 16th October 2018. The title of his talk was ” Medical Professionalism in the 21st Century”.
He highlighted the high esteem & faith patients have in doctors and that this has been earned over centuries. To carry and professionally continue to maintain this faith doctors need to cope with and adapt to changing trends/expectations. The basic pillars of medical professionalism & ethics were also discussed.
The audience included faculty members, postgraduate trainees & house officers. The session ended with a brief interactive discussion by the audience with Dr. Tanzeem. Dean Professor Rakhshanda Rehman thanked Dr. Tanzeem. Professor Saulat Siddique hospital director & Professor Yaqub Qazi presented a bouquet & memento to the worthy chief guest.
