When should I visit the Obstetrics & Gynecology Department?
Visit the department for pregnancy care, delivery planning, menstrual concerns, fertility issues, pelvic pain, urinary leakage, recurrent miscarriages, or any women’s health concern that needs specialist advice.
What happens during my first appointment?
Your consultant will review your symptoms, medical history, previous reports, medications and relevant family history. Depending on your condition you may be advised investigations, ultrasound, follow-up, a specialty clinic visit or a procedure plan.
What tests or reports should I bring?
Bring previous ultrasound reports, blood tests, antenatal records, discharge summaries, prescriptions, surgical notes, Pap smear reports, biopsy reports, fertility records and any previous pregnancy or delivery documents.
Do I need a referral?
A referral may be helpful but is not always required for routine consultation. Some specialty services, procedures or high-risk cases may require prior review or appointment scheduling.

What is recovery or follow-up like?
Recovery depends on the procedure and individual health. Minimally invasive procedures often have shorter recovery times. Follow-up may include post-procedure observation, wound care, medication and scheduled visits to your consultant.
Is this service available in an emergency or after hours?
Emergency obstetric and labour care are available 24/7. Other services are provided via scheduled clinics; after-hours support is available for urgent pregnancy-related concerns.
