Education and Training:
The Rheumatology Department runs several education programmes for doctors. We are affiliated with FMH College of Medicine and Dentistry. There is a major emphasis on educating undergraduates and postgraduate students. There are daily teaching sessions for medical students and special thanks to patients who give their time to help educate these young doctors. Moreover, specialist trainee doctors from across the Pakistan (from all provinces) join our department to get higher specialist training in rheumatology. There are almost daily teaching sessions organised for these rheumatology trainee fellows.
Our research programmes ensure that Department of Rheumatology is a leader in future innovations and developments which improve patient care.
Many patients choose to be involved in these exciting projects because they provide an opportunity to extend our knowledge about the mechanisms underlying the conditions which patients have.
